HOT BUTTERED RUM BATTER
 
  1 lb powdered sugar (approx. 3-½ cups)
1 lb brown sugar (approx. 2-¼ cups firm pack)
1 qt vanilla ice cream (very soft)
¾ lb butter bay (very soft)
1 tsp nutmeg
1 Tbsp cinnamon
   
  Mix sugars & spices completely.
Cut in butter and mix well.
Add ice cream and mix well.
Store batter in freezer.
   
 
  SERVING
  1 cup hot water
1 generous tablespoon batter
Rum to taste
