PHOTM Nominations
February 2004

Juergen Neumann

"It is both an honour and a privilege to nominate my PEZ friend, Juergen Neumann from Germany. We have known each other for a number of years and I appreciate his help in obtaining harder to find dispensers. Whenever I see him at the Cleveland convention, we greet each other like brothers. A number of our members will remember Juergen's friendly face at the Austrian PEZ convention."

Little Noot

"I would like to nominate Little Noot . He often contributes information on a wide range of PEZ subjects. Recently he checked into the status of the life sized PEZ . I think he exemplifies a member of this list deserving of the honor of PHOTM ."

Jeromy Sumner

"I nominate Jeromy Sumner, he has been a great friend and has helped me increase my pez collection dramatically. Hes a great guy and a fun person to talk to."

Megan Moore

"I would like to nominate one of the Cinci PEZheads... she not only helped provide the Buckeye PEZ that was given away in Cleveland at the Friday night party, but during the month of December, she let the list know about how to get thier hands on the Dylan Bunnies which look good enough to eat. She also let the list know about T J Max having the PEZ Factory Playsets for $19.99 just before Xmas which I'm sure many of the list members either bought or got as an Xmas present... sure beats the $70 they were first posted at. So this nomination goes out to Megan Moore."

Ron Hood

"I would like to nominate Ron Hood for his extraordinary generosity to pez-lovers everywhere - both list members and non-list members. "Ghoodies" as he appears on my email 'from' line has provided many list members with leads to who has the newest releases in Maine, he has generously sent many list members sets of the newest Klik Popeye releases at little more than his own cost, previously offering the Halloween sets and Hamtaro sets as well. He is among the first to answer the call for someone looking for something whenever he has it and he doesn't ever try to make a profit from any of these things. Ron just genuinely enjoys sharing his love of the hobby and helping others! There are more examples that I personally know of regarding Ron's generosity, but these are 'off-list' activities - he has been giving pez to a young collector, befriended him, encouraged his interests and the young man thinks Ron is the greatest guy in the world. I think the youngster has wisdom beyond his years and is probably right! Ron exemplifies all of what PezHead of the Month is all about - love of PEZ, devotion to the hobby, and the time and love he gives back to our wonderful obsession. Ron will be a second-timer - so another PHOTM will be retired after only two years. He was last PHOTM in Feb, 2002. Let's give it to him again!"

John Loperfido

"I'd like to nominate John Loperfido. His work on Pez Variations and other dispenser information has been...uh...how do I say it...wild! Not only is this information valuable to collectors, but it also makes for great threads on Pezheads. IMHO, it's real nice to see threads like this continue on Pezheads. He is also very quick to offer input when others have questions. Usually winds up asking a gajillion more questions that make my head spin, but that's ok ;) I've been talking to John on a dispenser he's currently dissecting, and it struck me, this guy loves his Pez. This love of Pez is a great benefit to us all! Keep up the great work, John!"
