June 2002 Nominees

Dana Kraft

"There are so many that I'd like to nominate.. how do I narrow it down to just one?!?! The PEZhead that stands out at this very moment is Dana Kraft. She (among SEVERAL others) helped to rebuild my collection after it was lost. She answers my questions & is very helpful & patient with my pez newbieness. Three cheers for Dana!"

Debbie Rodriguez

"I, for one nominate (drum Roll Please) Debbie Rodriguez not for posting a lot to the list--which she does anyways--and not because I know her personally--because I do not...but....) because she is a stand up pez head with a reputation as a dependable and fair seller with a warm and friendly demeanor who not only welcomed me to this list warmly but first and foremost has never once not returned an email or posting when I was in need of help or answers. Debbie, I would pez hunt with you anyday. :)"

Red Conroy

" ...I nominate Red Conroy once again....he is the nicest and friendliest pezhead...he loves sharing his knowledge of pez...I am on the lookout for variations after seeing his collection!"

Jim Gehlin

"....I would like to nominate a Pezhead who has contributed to this list with his knowledge, opinions and generosity. This Pezhead has helped me in the past with the Babski collection. He has offered his time and his resources and his expertise. He posts frequently to the list and has offered his assistance to Newbies and Veterans alike. His controversial post about "sniping" still brings a smile to my face. He is my "pezbuddy" but don't hold that against him. My nomination: Uncle Pezter, Jim Gehlen"

Tammy Shepplar

"After reading lots of PHOTM "requirements" I give a hearty nomination to Tammie Shepplar! I shall tell why: she is MORE than just a Pezhead. Her energy, friendliness and pezzy knowledge ENCOMPASS the spirit of the PEZ HOBBY! Although she isn't a dealer or doesn't frequently post a "sales list" of her extras, she still *shines* with love of the hobby...Hope to meet you at the Columbus Clippers Ballgame!"

Robin Fierce

"I would like to nominate Robin Fierce for the PHOTM. Although I've only been a list member for a very brief time, I have been here long enough to know that she is actively involved with the group, that she posts regularly and also moderates. When I was first being "inducted" into this list, I was encountering a number of problems, some of which were preventing me from being able to sign onto the Yahoo! groups PEZHeads list page. The more attempts that were made to rectify the problem, the more problems arose, until it finally became a comedy of errors. Robin's patience and perserverence prevailed, however and here I am, for better or worse. My e-mail exchanges have lead me to believe that I'm not the first person to have been on the receiving end of her good natured and effective help. Thanks again, Robin!"

Dale Pike

"This month, I am not only throwing in my vote, I'm nominating. I want to nominate Dale Pike. Not because he just mentioned that he has never been nominated, but because of all he has done: a)providing a website chock-full of helpful info for his fellow PEZhead b)responding to every question I have ever asked c)not only helping me with my convention website, but actually writing some code for me, and then hosting that page on HIS OWN website, (made to seamlessly appear that it was on mine) because our convention is in it's poor first year, and so our server doesn't have all the frills I needed to support that page d) Do I really need a "D"??? I think that covers it. I'm in no cliques, I have never voted, and so am not voting for the same person once again, and he has obviously not won this year. Not only does this nomination fit the criteria, but Dale is one of the most deserving PEZheads I know.

Bertha Hubbard

"I wish to nominate Bertha Hubbard for all the reasons that we are discussing. She doesn't always post answers to questions to the list because the list knows the answers for the most part. She does send answers to the person, so as not to bother the list. She gives presents all the time. She knows so much about PEZ and PEZ variations and she is so willing to be a part of gatherings in her community. She is what a PHOTM should be."
